From 2021 to 2023, I was working for the conservation NGO Whale shark Mexico in La Paz, on the peninsula of Baja California. Thanks to this experience I got to spend hundreds of hours in the water with the biggest fish in world, studying its local population and learning many key aspects about its biology. But it also became quickly one of my main subjects for photography.

These pictures are the result of a great admiration for this incredibly beautiful and gentle species, still threatened around the globe and yet harmless to humans.
